Our word of the year for 2022 is FOCUS.
Surviving the pandemic with an events company, losing a baby at 18-weeks, and birthing a healthy baby are all things that cause life changes. LOTS OF LIFE CHANGES. My time is much more limited, which means one thing: the free time I do have is focused.

This focus has created a lot of clarity for me as we kick off a fresh year. While 2022 might just feel like 2020 (too), it still has a feeling of freshness for me.
When I started Balanced Roots Retreats I had a specific vision in mind, but as any small business owner, you learn, you do, you grow and you evolve. And evolve is exactly what we have done as the times have changed.
So what does this mean for Balanced Roots Retreats as 2022 begins? It means we are evolving our business model - and we are EXCITED ABOUT IT. Like, really, really excited.
Balanced Roots Retreats will now be operating as a retreat planning company. We work with individuals and businesses to plan luxury retreat experiences creating connection. In other words, you bring the people we do the rest.
We are experts at creating beautiful experiences and building connections along the way. We are unique, in that we look at the end goal at the beginning. The first question we ask will be, “how do you want your guests to feel as an outcome of your retreat?” Let’s say you answer this question as, “rejuvenated, hopeful and relaxed.” This information provides a filter for us in order to make all of our planning decisions. This answer impacts the venue/space we choose, the type of food we serve, the activities we plan, and our retreat partners.
So, how does this work? Our main goal is to take the stress of planning off your shoulders. We see beauty in the details and will make sure you have all of the information you need in order to have a successful and beautiful retreat experience. We will even come on-site and take care of all of the details during your retreat if you choose.
Here’s a little more information about our process:
Upon booking the consultation, you’ll receive an email with a questionnaire asking you about any details you might have in mind (dates, locations, number of people, etc.)
After our consultation, you will decide if you’d like to move forward with our services. If you chose to do so, you will receive an invoice for $149 to cover our budget & proposal fee, then we will get to work! This phase will take two weeks. You will receive a link to book our next Zoom meeting so we can review the budget & proposal to you.
From here, we will work together to make any changes making sure this collaboration feels good & right for you. If you chose to move forward with our planning services, you will sign off on the budget & proposal and we get to work!
